NEW YEAR COMING .THE CONTAINER NOT ENOUGH AND SEA FREIGHT RAISE , CANDLES LOADING

Since mid-November, the Houthis have been carrying out attacks on "vessels linked to Israel" in the Red Sea. At least 13 container liner companies have announced that they will suspend navigation in the Red Sea and nearby waters or circumnavigate the Cape of Good Hope. It is estimated that the total value of cargo carried by ships diverted from the Red Sea route has exceeded $80 billion. At the same time, a number of container liner companies, including CMA CGM, Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, etc., have issued announcements announcing the imposition of European Red Sea surcharges.Multi-ship companies charge surcharges on the Red Sea related to Europe

As shipping companies develop their response plans and strategies, potential impacts include: Delays in delivery, additional costs arising from detachments driving up freight rates, increased fuel consumption and associated costs, reduced available capacity triggering rate increases, route adjustments exacerbating disruption of port and terminal operations, extended voyage times disrupting empty container allocation resulting in a shortage of containers at the port of origin, disrupted shipment schedules and forced vessel diversion, etc.

Affected by the unrest in the Red Sea, the SCFI index has hit a 12-month high, and available capacity will be further reduced in the short term, and spot freight rates will continue to rise in the next few weeks, and this momentum is expected to continue until the end of January.
